To Know Kindness, You Must Know Sorrow

This post was inspired by a post I viewed today.  I wrote this a few weeks ago, but hadn’t done anything with it.  After viewing a video posted by Tomas @ heartflow2013, I decided to share my thought.

If Kindness were to be held by all, it would no longer be recognizable, nor could it be named.

If Sorrow were to be held by all, it would no longer be recognizable, nor could it be named.

To truly understand kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must first know sorrow to be the deepest thing inside.

Sorrow provides the opportunity for kindness to be recognized and displayed, from that level of knowing of what sorrow really means.

And held within that opportunity comes the understanding of why kindness is the deepest thing inside.

Have a look at the video and be reminded of what to look for the next time you have an opportunity to look into someone’s eyes.
